We are glad you have made the decision to register your child for school in Willis ISD. The links on this pagewill provide you with the information needed to register your child(ren). Please carefully review the information and directions under each grade level before registering your child online. Note: The "Required Documents" panel lists documents you must present to the campus to complete the registration process.
Students who are new to Willis ISD will be required to take an assessment once the enrollment process is complete.You do not need to register a student who attended a Willis ISD school last year. Any transitions from elementary to middle or middle to high school will all be automatic.

Pre-Kindergarten
The Pre-Kindergarten program is a full-year, intensive language development and early literacy program designed to give four-year-old children who qualify for the program an opportunity to develop skills, concepts, and attitudes needed for school success.
A child is eligible for enrollment in free Pre-Kindergarten if the child is at least four years of age on or before September 1st and meets one of the following criteria:
Is unable to speak and comprehend the English language
Is economically disadvantaged defined by qualification for free or reduced lunch
Is homeless as defined by federal law
Is a child of an active duty member of the armed forces, state military forces, or reserve forces ordered to active duty
Is a child of a member of the armed forces, state military forces, or reserve forces who was injured or killed while serving on active duty
Is or has ever been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services or Foster Care in another state
Is a child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award
WISD Registration Information
To register, parent/guardian must present the following documents at the in-person appointment. (Please note, even if you upload the documents in the system, you will be required to present hard copies for review).
- One proof of residency
- Current utility bill, mortgage, lease agreement, etc.
- Utility Bill - An acceptable utility bill is a gas or electric bill that includes your name and the physical address of the property. Bill must be from within the last 30 days.
- Lease Agreement - A lease agreement with your name, physical address, and the signature page signed by all parties is acceptable.
- Current utility bill, mortgage, lease agreement, etc.

Qualifying Factor Documentation:
If economically disadvantaged - please bring a paystub dated during the month prior to enrolling your child. ex. enrolling in August, bring a July paystub
If an active duty member of the armed forces - please provide proof.
If qualifying due toconservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services or Foster Care in another state - please bring appropriate documentation.
Please print and fill out the Pre-K application prior to your visit as well as complete the online portion of registration to ensure a smooth process.

Once you have completed the application and gathered all of your registration documentation, please visit the campusto complete your registration. Verification of information is required before a decision on acceptance can be determined.

Kindergarten
Students entering kindergarten for the 2024-25school year must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2024, to be eligible for enrollment. All students entering WISD for the first time must register at their appropriately zoned campus. If your child attended Roark Early Education Center, you do not need to re-register them for Kindergarten. If you are unsure which campus you are zoned to, please visit theTransportation page to view attendance zones and/or to determine what bus your child(ren) will ride.

1st-12th Grade
This registration process is for children who have neverattended a WISD school before. If your child has ever been enrolled in a WISD school, please contact your campus directly for specific instructions.

Registration Appointment
Except during PK/KG Round-Up and open enrollment weeks, an appointment with the Registrar isrequired. We utalize scheduled appointments to minimize disruptions to the campus during school hours and to ensure that we can provide our families with our undivided attention.
Please remember to book an appointment for each campus you intend to enroll in. If you have multiple children attending the same school, you only need to schedule one appointment for that campus.
